Delores Johnson was born, raised and still resides in Kalamazoo MI. With the right help, she pulled her way out of drug addiction, regained custody of all 5 of her children and slowly began to take her life back. For the most part she was a single mother making ends meet. She is the epitome of strength and gives new meaning to the phrase, “where there’s a will, there’s a way”.

Gwendolyn’s journey to healing and recovery began after three treatment programs coupled with support via Narcotics Anonymous. Gwendolyn overcame her addiction and found a new purpose in life. September 19, 1988 was the last day Gwendolyn used any mind-altering drug.  Job 8:7 says “Where you began will seem unimportant, because your future will be so successful.” It is with her faith in God, her commitment to sobriety, and living a life of being a blessing to her family and community.
